Favourite Make up Brushes

Seeing as my last blog was all about make up it seems fitting to fill you in on my favourite make up brushes, how I like to use them and what I like to use them with best. I own quite a few from a wide range of company's but my very favourite just HAVE to be the Real Technique Brushes by a mile. I must admit these little beauties are one thing I like to 'splurge' on. Although I say splurge the price range really isn't bad at all when you consider the quality of them and the prices of say, Mac brushes which seems extortionate in my opinion...£16 for a small eyeliner brush?! ..Really?

From left to right:
1.Elf Proffesional Concealer Brush - I rarely use the brushes for what they where designed for. Play around with them and see what suits you best! I use this to apply dark lipsticks to my lips, so much easier than straight from the bullet! Trust me. I know it's a bit of a cheat but I don't really need to use lip liner when applying it this way. I find lip liner can look a bit OTT on me.
2.Real Techniques Detailer Brush - Again I use this for lipsticks, this one is a little larger than the elf brush which is why i prefer it but both to the exact same job perfectly fine.
3. EcoTools - I found this gem reduced in ASDA for around £1! And I wish I had bought the whole collection then and there. I think now it retails at £3.99 so hardly breaking the bank. A trip to ASDA seems in order !
4.Elf Studio Line Contour Brush - This is just one of the many eye shadow brushes from elf I love. When I say elf I'm mainly mean the studio line. They are a little more expensive but still super cheap in comparison to others makes. Great for blending and deepening colour.
5.Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - I initially got this to replace my buffing brush which i sadly lost on the train :( that i apsolutely adored! It came in the Core Collection for I think £21.99 (a pack of 4 in which the Detailer brush came in too) but this one I'm not so keen on. I still enjoy using it mainly for my Soleil Tan De Chanel but It seems to hold a lot of the products I use with it, so I pretty much have to clean it every other use or so...not ideal.
7.Real Techniques Stippling Brush - I love this brush. It's brilliant for liquid foundations and bronzes but I use it mainly for my liquid blushers, in particular Topshops cream to powder blush - Head Over Heels is my fave.
6.Real Techniques Contour Brush - this brush is so soft and lovely as are all of the Samantha Chapman Real Technique Brushes. I use this for Bronzer and highlighter mainly (Not at the same time)
7.Elf Powder Brush - other than the buffing brush this has to be my second favourite brush to use for foundation. It's brilliant and getting an even coverage and making your skin look flawless. You can't really go wrong with Elf's studio line.
8.Real Techniques Blush Brush - Out of all the brushes mentioned here this has to be my favourite. The shape is lovely to apply blush as its not too think, covering to much space and not to thin resulting in a weird pink line across your cheek. Perfection!
9.Icing - I have never heard of 'Icing' before or since I purchased this and to be honest I think it's just a cheap range found in shops like Clair's accessories. I found a pack of 5 brushes in the Florida mall when I went on holiday. It was only around $13 but honestly the texture is amazing. For that price you would expect some spiky hairs scratching your face every time you use it but its lovely and delicate on the skin. Bargain!

Hope you found this helpful guys. Let me know your favourites. I always love trying new brushes out.

Until next time xxx
